I want to visit the Blue Lagoon at Elafonisi

I’ve been looking at photos of Elafonisi for a while now—that pinkish sand and crystal-clear water really do look like something out of a dream. I’m planning a vacation in Greece and wondering whether I should go there or choose more accessible beaches. I love quiet places where I can just relax, rather than lying right next to other people.

I'm also wondering what the best way to get there is, because judging by the map, it doesn't look like the easiest place to reach. I'm thinking of renting a car, but I'm not sure how good the roads are there. And does it make sense to go early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the crowds? If anyone has been there, please let me know if it's worth the wait or if I should look for an alternative.

Maybe we just got lucky, but we happened to visit when there weren’t many people in Elafonisi. I went there on vacation with my family. I really liked it—it’s truly beautiful there. We booked a trip to the
pink sand heraklion crete beaches , through GetExperience. Where will you be staying? You can drive there, but keep in mind that the road is winding. We had a shuttle that picked us up and then took us back to the hotel. We stayed at a hotel in Agia Pelagia. Be sure to bring water and a snack with you, as the prices are a bit steep for my taste. In my opinion, the place 100% lives up to expectations—if you walk further onto the island across the ford, the sand is even brighter, and there are far fewer people.
