How can I help my teen think about personal safety?
I want my teen to be aware of risks and feel confident making safe choices, but I don’t want to lecture. Any strategies that actually work?

Re: How can I help my teen think about personal safety?
I found that discussing real-life scenarios helps more than lectures ever did. I use prompts from https://www.the-littlest-thistle.com/de ... ons-teens/ to guide conversations in a relaxed way. Questions like “What would you do if someone made you feel uncomfortable online?” encourage my son to think critically and share his perspective. It’s not about scaring him but about helping him reflect. I also share my experiences and let him come up with his own solutions. Doing this regularly has made him more confident in decision-making and opened up a safe space for ongoing dialogue.
